SCHOONER CAPT FRANK SWIFT
SCHOONER CAPT FRANK SWIFT
NEW ADDITION TO OUR MAINE WINDJAMMER FLEET
Plans for the Capt Frank Swift were drawn in 1937 by Murray Peterson, a famous Maine naval architect who modeled his designs along the lines of the old Coasting Schooners. In a sense she is a smaller version of the Grace Bailey or Mercantile.
Built as the Oliver C Wyant in East Boothbay by Scott Kennedy in 1983 for private use. this beautiful brigantine/schooner is being renamed CAPT FRANK SWIFT in honor of the founder of our company, Maine Windjammer Cruises and the entire windjammer industry.
The "Capt Frank" is currently undergoing a full conversion to a six passenger Luxury Windjammer for the overnight trade. It is our plan to have her ready to welcome passengers this summer. Follow her progress on Schooner Capt Frank Swift Facebook.
