I recently sailed on the Windjammer, Grace Bailey, a four day sail around Penobscot Bay.. one of the best experiences of my life. Maine Windjammer Cruises, that runs three of these magnificent and historic ladies, knows how to provide a great adventure, with comfort, fine food and great rapport with the crew, and your soon to be sailing buddies...and, if you want, you actually get to help run the ship. There is nothing like being on the water, after an early morning start of freshly baked muffins and coffee, helping to raise the sails with the crew, the sun and breeze in your face, as you set off on another fantastic day seeing the rugged beauty of the Maine coast. And there are eagles, ospreys, seals, and dolfins too. From Margaret in the office, the owners Capt. Ray and Ann, and Capt. Kerry and his entire team...you will be well informed, taken care of, and provided with a pleaurable experience you will never forget. And, you will be doing a good thing. By sailing with Maine Windjammer Cruises you will be helping to keep alive these historic sailing ships, and the tradition on sailing adventures off the coast of Maine. You may even get to extend your sail a few hours longer if you are flexible..but that is another story! - David Isaacson
