CONGRATULATIONS TO OB & KAYLIE

Many of you ask about OB, the Mate on the Mercantile and Grace Bailey from 2014 through 2017.   Aside from his skill as a crew member, many of you will also remember him playing his concertina in the evenings or perhaps lending the cook a hand by baking amazing rhubarb cream pies.  

OB is still with us but decided to spend time on shore last season allowing him time prepare for exciting new beginnings in his life.  He spent much of the summer keeping shore side things in order for Maine Windjammer Cruises and planning his wedding with fiancé Kaylie Borden.

They were married this October in Kaylie's home state, Idaho.

Those of you who know OB will remember that on the boats, he dressed in appropriate turn of the century garb, much of which he made himself.  As you admire his traditional wedding suit - no need to ask - Yes, he made it!   A man of many talents.

When not keeping the MWC shop in order and winter maintenance going OB is busy restoring a 1850's farm house where he and Kaylie will spend their first Christmas together as a married couple.
