CAPT. RAY & ANN CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS
CAPTAIN RAY & ANN CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAYS
We have just returned from Tennessee where the Williamson brothers hold an annual holiday gathering of the family...... wives, children and their spouses and grandchildren. This year over 40 strong!
THE WILLIAMSON GANG
Fortunately Alyssa, Seth and the girls, Aria now 7 and Isla now 4, were able to make the trip with us. All six of us boarded the plane in Portland to begin our adventure. Since this was the first time flying for the girls, all things considered, it went fairly well. Although after a layover in Charlotte, Isla was determined not to reboard for the remaining flight. It's really hard to be a 4 year old with lots of energy and have to sit in one place for so long! Once in Tennessee, with a dozen children under 12 at Uncle Norm's, there was plenty of opportunity to expend that excess energy!
CAPTAIN RAY AND HIS FIVE BROTHERS
With games, lively conversation, presents for all and wonderful food, it couldn't have been better. On the subject of food - How do you feed a gang of this size without spending days in the kitchen or calling in the caterers? Check out "From the Woodstove to Your Stove" for a great idea!
With today's mobile life styles and families often so far away, it was a wonderful opportunity to gather, reconnect and celebrate together. We look forward to continuing our celebration in Maine as our immediate family gathers here on John Street for the arrival of Santa Clause.
May you and your families be blessed as you join together for your own time honored Holiday Celebrations!
